i just want to be in school already!

I don't know if I'm the only one here to feel this way, but I feel like I need to rant and this seems to be the place where i'll be understood. but I feel like it's so much more stressful getting everything in for school to start than the actual aspects of nursing school.

my financial aid is starting to cause me major problems and i got denied my grants because for some reason my school isn't approved to get state grants. and now i keep getting notices about everything that needs paid (enrollment fee, workbooks, textbooks, clearances). i still have to get all my shots done, and that's without insurance. i wish i could waiver all of them, even just temporarily.

I'm in my early twenties, but haven't been able to find A JOB other than a short summer job at an animal park that didn't even cover the gas it took to drive there. So, I've had to depend on my parents to help me out, and i'm running out of ideas! :crying2:

All I want is to be in school, and only have to worry about my actual school work and succeeding. I've wanted this for so long and it just keeps getting harder and harder to even get started.

/rant

edit: i forgot to mention i'm due to start my lpn program on february 14th. if it wasn't for all of the forementioned road blocks i would be going out of my mind with excitement. :redbeathe

Are you planning on going to a 'for profit' private school? If so, that is the reason they are knocking down your door for money and that your grants were denied.

Is there any way you can look into a community college? It is so much cheaper and not only will your state grants go through, you may even got some of the money back to cover other expenses like gas.

Good luck... the 'road blocks' may be a warning... beware of these private schools.
