Just want to get a job somewhere different than where I'm from.

Hello everyone,

I writing this in order to find out about any agencies who might be able to help place me in a desiried position.

Here's a bit about me.. Graduated with my BSN in may and I currently live in Philadelphia. I have almost two years experience working as a patient care assistant or CNA at a level 1 trauma center. I was going to take a job at my current place of employment as an intensive care nurse, but they recently had a hiring freeze on new nurses. I'm looking for a position in the ER or ICU areas. I am not looking to do med-surg nursing. I did that type of work at my current job and I know I have no interest in it. Please don't tell me about getting my time management down either. At my position, I do a lot more than nurses, but still get it done. I also went to an accelerated program while working, which is unheard of where I went.

Since I'm not getting hired here, I decided to look into another goal of mine. I'd like to go somewhere entirely different than Philadelphia. I only stayed to get my nursing degree finished, and not that it's over, that passion for travel is coming back. I'm willing to go anywhere, and I mean anywhere, as long as it's for a reasonable salary and it's to do the type of nursing I want. Your comments are well appreciated.

thanks

There are many exciting opportunities here in NYC for the type of nursing you are interested in. And you'd only be a 1 1/2 hour train ride from Philly!
