I will be applying for the nursing program in the summer of 2007.
I have heard some nightmare storys about the first nursing semester.
obviously its not easy and you have to work hard and study hard, but is it very very stressful? I am doing so good in all my classes and i keep telling myself i can do this... and i know i can... im just a little scared now....
any helping words of advice?
However, I do study very well by trying to teach some of what I have learned to a non-medical person (my favorites were my husband and 8 year old). I have found that if I can understand it well enough to "dumb it down" to them (and I mean no offense to them:)) then I really do understand it.
I do the same thing with the in-laws (because of COURSE I know what that thing is...eww...growing on their foot because I'm in nursing school)...only I had a heck of a time trying to "dumb down" the Kreb's Cycle when they asked why it was that certain foods provide more energy than others. :)
Good luck, lmh!! Dig in and it'll all be over before you know it...at least that's what I'm told.
