For some reason a funny memory popped into my head when reading a post today,thought y'all might get a laugh.
When in nursing school,and I was studying the cranial nerves, and my grandmother happened to call one night.She became an RN during WW|| and worked for 54 years,when they MADE her retire she really lost a part of herself.Anyway,she was asking me about school and what we were learning,so I said cranial nerves and that we had this acronym to memorize them. Out of nowhere when I began saying the rhyme SO DID SHE !
" On old Olympus towering tops a Finn and German view some hops", our voices were simultaneous and when done we were both giggling.:chuckle Apparently back in her days of nursing school they were taught the same acronym. Almost a continent apart but we were able to share and laugh and bond in a whole new way,it's still one of my favorite memories of her.
Hehe. I attended a catholic university too, for dental hygiene school, and the anatomy instructor still told us the dirty version as long as we promised not to tell anyone, lol.
