I am currently waiting to get my papers stamped from my school to turn in my application to take the NCLEX. Any suggestions on ways to prepare. I feel pretty good about it (not sure if that is a bad thing or not). Also, I can not find a website that tells me the steps to taking the exam. Unfortunatly my school hasnt been so helpful in giving us the steps to do this. On thursday i pic up my school pic with the seal of approval and then submit my app with my money....other than that I dont know what to do.
Sorry,I had every intention of taking my boards immed. and now I feel liel like it may be a while.

This site here ( http://www.pearsonvue.com/nclex/ ), along with whatever state you're in's board of nursing website are your best bets for finding information. Pearson VUE is who actually conducts the testing. I'm surprised your school hasn't been more informative. BTW, it might not be TOO long before you're able to test. I was able to do it a little less than a month after graduating.

yeah why didn't your school provide you with the information. in any case, the link from the above poster is good.
you should take your board's as soon as possible. i hear the earliest the better because the information in your head is still fresh.
i graduated february 27 and sent in my paper works for the board that week as well and i took my board on march 17.
i didn't have to do any heavy reviewing because i just graduated. what i did was do a lot of nclex questions.
good luck on your test and please be confident as much as you can on the day of your exam.

I cant even give you a reason why my school hasnt been very helpful. They came in and filled out a paper application and that was it.
Anyway, thank you both, I will pick up my stuff thursday and hopefully be able to sit very soon! Thanks again!
