Congratulations! Go Falcons--Yay team! And welcome to allnurses!

I wish I could tell you there's no reason to be scared. Well, okay, there's no reason to be scared. But nervous? Oh, my Heavens, yes! This is a pretty big deal, and I'm sure you will find it a challenge. A lot has changed about the program since I graduated, three years ago, but I'm sure you will have to work very hard to do well, and it's very possible you may feel like giving up at some point. On the other hand, the reason you were chosen for admission out of all those applicants is that you were deemed one of the most likely to successfully complete the program and pass NCLEX. So you can do it.

One of the things that really impressed me at Fairmont State was the faculty. For a smallish school in a smallish town in a smallish state, they have some pretty impressive instructors. A lot of the nursing instructors I had are still there, and while they are kind of a varied bunch, they were all really good. One thing I like about them is that if you are really making an effort and still having problems, you can go to them for help and advice. (But, of course, they really like to see you really making an effort.)

One thing is certain: if you've already been there for three years, your leg muscles should be in good shape. Good luck, have fun, and don't spend too much time at The Library.

I was just accepted to Fairmont State too!!!! I didn't think anyone else on here would even know where it was! lol I have been at WVU for the past three years and I applied to their program once and didn't even get granted an interview and my GPA qualified me for one so I decided to try Fairmont even though I had heard that it was even more difficult to get into. I'm glad I did, I just wish I had done it a year ealier! lol What was your final score on the score sheet? What all do you know about their program? I don't really have any clue what to expect from all of it. I'm soooo nervous! I'm from PA so before I came to WVU i had no clue what Fairmont even was lol I'm right there with you on being sooo scared. I wanted this for so long but now that it's here I'm terrified! I just want to know what to expect. I'm really glad that I will at least know someone though! :)

Kek kek kek kek! That's how Peterson's Field Guide to Birds of Eastern and Central North America describes the call of the Peregrine Falcon. Also We-chew, but that could be misinterpretted in WV, and doesn't sound very nurselike. Actually, I'm not sure I'd recommend running around in clinicals calling "kek kek kek kek," either.

Best of luck, just the same.

hello! my name is allyson bassell. congrats!!!!

:yeah: my score on the score sheet was a 95% which i actually thought it was a 93% so i was shocked when i saw the offical sheet in the mail. i heard that nursing fundamentals is cake. that is the only class i have to take in the fall semester. i also know that we have 6 clinicals in the first semester, and 2 clinicals a week in the second semester. i have also heard that the summer class of pysch nursing is a blast. i am really really excited, yet very nervous! what was your score sheet? how old are you? what's your name if you don't mind me asking :specs:
