JPS Nurse Residency

Published

Hey y'all, haven't seen anyone post anything for JPS in Fort Worth. Just wondering if anyone else applied/interviewed for the summer nurse residency?

:specs:

Hi!

I applied for the BSN nurse residency at JPS to start in October 2016. I've completed all the paperwork. Has anyone received a phone call yet for an interview?

Hey! So when I applied it was actually for the July residency I guess I applied around...mid January? Didn't hear anything about interviewing till late March. Just to give you a time frame for your process! Good luck!

Thank you! I graduated from a school in Houston in May and am having a hard time finding a place that will even interview me in the DFW area. I have a good resume, decent GPA, a prior 4 year job in customer service too, but no experience in the medical field. I know this is completely off topic, but I was just wondering if you could give any insight on why I am having trouble even getting calls up here?

You're welcome! Did you apply for any summer positions before school was out or are you just applying for October Residencies up here? I don't think as many places do the October Residencies here, not like how Houston does. The only ones I know for sure or have seen are JPS, children's, and cook children's. And I just looked it up and saw Methodist does too, idk when they post though they didn't post until March for the summer positions.

If you just applied somewhat recently to places sometimes it just takes time. But until you get a rejection email you're still in the running. It's hard to say why or why not though it sounds like you have good things going for you, as hard as it is just be patient. I had an interview in March didn't get it and then crickets until late late April. It's tough waiting but the right opportunity that's meant for you will present itself!
