Both. Got an email letting me know about phone call to set up date and time, then received the call a few days ago

I applied on May 1st, but I never received the candidate interest form and I haven't been contacted about anything further. My application still says "under review" though.

It's just a pre screen call! Just asking basic questions like your GPA, what units you're interested in, etc. It's not like an interview at all!

They said mid July. But I actually heard back for an offer yesterday

I received an offer from the ER yesterday and I heard a lot of the ER offers were sent out yesterday as well.
