Johns Hopkins DNP FNP Fall 2021

Published

Hi everyone! I have not seen a thread about Johns Hopkins' Fall 2021 DNP-FNP application cycle. Has anyone who applied early decision heard anything yet? I'm wondering if COVID has delayed their processing at all. Any insights would be great!

@Mandoo did you have your interview? If so, how did it go?

It went well! The interview was pretty casual. Took about 30 minutes?

And congrats on your interview! Good luck! ?

Yay! Scheduled my interview. Good luck, everyone!

What program? Congrats!

Anyone have any tips on how to prepare?

I applied for the 3 year DNP-FNP Program.

Hi everyone! I applied to the early decision DNP acute care track and my interview is on Thursday! Has anyone had their interview yet? I don't know what to expect and I'm so nervous!

Has anyone heard yet after interview? Just getting an idea whether they’re waiting to interview everyone early first

@KaitlinC @Kori Calhoun I applied to Peds Primary Care, so not sure if your interview will be the same but mine was pretty casual! It was only like 35 min with one interviewer and she asked really straightforward questions about why I want to be in the program, my extracurriculars, etc. She was really nice and there was nothing unexpected about it. Good luck to you, I am sure you'll do great!

@RNker I was wondering the same thing! I think early decision interviews end next Friday (12/18) so I hope we'll hear back soon after that!

Has anyone who interviewed earlier than this week heard back yet?

I interviewed almost 3 weeks ago for peds primary care and have not heard back yet!

@AKNURSE3 Ahhh I hope we hear back soon!!

Does anyone know how many people they accept into Peds Primary Care? I heard they accept 60 into FNP, but I don’t know about Peds

Yeah I am interviewing the last day next Friday because I work all the other days. I’m dual acute/primary peds so IDK where I’ll fit into acceptances with ped primary care.

I’m not sure if this applies to primary too but I talked to a. Current student in the dual program and there’s only 4 of them but they are in year 3 so it might be more now! That was the first cohort of that program

I asked the admissions last week when we'll be hearing back and they said acceptance letters should be going out end of December to early January!

Oh awesome!! Did they say only in mail format or will we get an email update on acceptance?
