Im having the same problem finished February and only had one interview but no job offers. They all say it because I have no experience but I have been an LPN for almost two years. But what I dont understand is they have new grad programs but they dont hire new grads kinda frustrating:mad:
It was at Saint Anthonys they seemed very interested in me and even wanted me to shadow a nurse but I only received the dreaded we decided to go with more qualified candidates email. I was very upset cause I have been applying since December took my boards today only had 75 question hopefully I passed and maybe things will start to pick up then.
That is very weird. I would have thought you would have gotten it.too. what floor did you apply for? I've been applying like.crazy to.them and haven't heard anything. Can't really say having a liscense makes a difference bc I'm.still not. Having any luck. Good luck with your boards! Im sure you did fine!
I applied to the 8 floor interview with 7th floor nurse manager (which was weird) didnt get it reapply for 7th floor cause she seemed interested in me didnt get it. reapply for floor she said was hiring new grad only to get no even an hour later a rejection email saying that they are only looking for experienced RNs. I have been in nursing homes for 4 years as a CNA and LPN I really wanna do something different but I feel like no one will give me a chance. Been at the same job for 2 years and have excellent grades and I have a Bachelors in Health Education/promotion, good reference (one which is my clinical instructor) Im not sure what to do.
Have you guys tried St. John's Mercy? I'm pretty sure they are hiring. Also, have you looked at Public Health nursing or any other fields if you don't want to go the nursing home route, or are you only interested in bedside nursing in a hospital?
Hi,
yes I tried st. johns. As far as I know they arent hiring right now. They just started their GN program about a month ago. So they wont be hiring for awhile. I wouldnt mind doing public health. FYI i only have an associates degree. I dont know if thats going to play into the Public health route or not. I havent seen any listings for public health jobs either. How do I go about for searching for a public health job?
Im interested in any job. Im trying to avoid nursing home if I can.
