I wonder what the pay range is for nurses with 5 years neurology experience? And is San Francisco a good place for working in neuro?

First question would be over anything else is do you have a visa for the US already that will permit you to work here?

We have not seen one facility here petitioning in sometime due to the retrogression in place and there are no H1-B visas available here due to the strong union presence, they do not permit it.

Salaries are higher in the areas, but then that also makes it appealing to more that wish to work here and can start right away and not have to wait for immigration to be able to work.

Most of the facilities are unionized so pay is going to be similar. Cost of living is also significantly higher as well. Can be in the $100,000 range easily.

thank you, this information is helpful. I have not looked into visas yet, but became curious when i saw ads seeking uk nurses to work in some other states.

That is what I thought. You may be seeing ads, but there are no visas available now.

Suggest that you check out the International Forum that we have here on Allnurses.com to get the information that you will definitely need.
