Jobs while in monitoring program

Published

Hello just wonder what type of jobs can you work while on a monitoring program, was terminated from my job at a hospital, more than likely going to be put on a monitoring program with Ga BON , I have an interview at an endoscopy center , just wondering should I even go to the interview and be honest ? What type of jobs do you think will hire a nurse on probation?

What kind of nurse? LPN, RN, APN? If you are starting out job interviews and already are having an internal struggle on whether honesty is 50/50, then you need great work in your recovery. Part of recovery is....Stop Lying. Turn it Over. Tell the truth. Be an open book. Let the shame go. Do you really want to work and live your life everyday with the worry of "What if the job finds out." Get that stuff OFF of your shoulders and let it go. Be open. You got this and you CAN do this and when you do, things will be turning around for you. Of course you go to the interview and be honest and do NOT be afraid if they tell you no. You then proceed to the next interview and sooner or later, you will get a job. Also, being told NO a few times can and will actually HELP you in the long run. I know, it sounds crazy, but it will HELP you in recovery as you grow in not being dependent on others expectations and it humbles you and in 10 years, you are still sober.

Thank you for that , I went ahead and told them and they offered me a job and a behavioral health center. She actually said it's a few nurses that's on a monitoring program that's employed there . So glad I got that off my chest and don't have to be worried about later if it comes up
