I'm a nurse of 15+ years. I've recently started looking for something new due to dissatisfaction with current job. I've never job shadowed before. I had 1job shadowing experience a few weeks ago, but nurse only sat at desk and talked about how mean her parents were blah, blah, blah. And since they were an 8 hr unit in hospital, would I be interested in helping them convert to 12s, and gossipy things from tv. I didn't get job, or any feedback why for that matter (hospital states that they don't discuss due to policy, etc). I had interview with another facility today and am to shadow Thursday. Want this to go well, because good place with good potential for growth, both professionally and academically. What do I expect? What do I ask/say/do? As a young COB, I'm at a loss with this way of doing things. I do like this idea, as it lets me see them in action, and lets them get to know me better. But HELP! Nervous!
