I finished my BSN in May 2012. I was hired at an LTC as a weekend supervisor/manager and I work at a local ER. I have been approached to consider becoming the ADON b/c the position opened up. I know I want to go into a role like this, but the question is, is this too soon. I have previous management experience (non-nursing) and I know I can do the job. Plus the pay is a great motivator. The pay as a new grad nurse is well, less than amazing we all must admit. I am married and have kids, so the $ is a factor.

Another concern I have is will I be able to find another job on a floor someday if take this position now?
