Perhaps a better rephrasing would be....What opportunities are their away from the hospital/clinic setting? Can I teach medics? Perhaps become a nurse in a public affairs unit? Maybe become attached in to a more outside the wire unit (i.e. infantry) Pretty much if you know of any of the various nursing the jobs within the army that are not hospital like settings I would like to know more about them. (Not saying I am against hospital settings (lol that would make no so sense being a nurse), but I would like to more about the varied job spots within the army.

yes there are jobs away from the hospital/clinic setting. There are nurses assigned to teaching 68W's or medics, civial affair units etc. but you still are a nurse in the Army and will have to work in a some sort of direct care role most of the time. Also your first duty station most of the time will be in a direct care role.
