I was wondering what type of job opportunities are available for pre-nursing students. Or what can I do now to keep me interested in Nursing? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

When my sister was a pre-nursing student. I placed her at my client, who is a MD. She had to take phone call, set appointments, and things like that. and you could do the same. Once you are in the nursing program, you can go work for a hospital as a Nurse tech.
Ok, thanks. Do you know what a PTA is?
physical therapy assistant, but for that you need to go to school.

Clerk? To be a nurse assistant you need to complete nurse assistant schooling.
What type of skills are need for this job?
None, almost any one can do it. You need proper communication skills and that is about it.

This is not correct. Although, you can opt to become a Certified Nursing Assistant, I personally would not recommend it. Most employers will hire nursing students as Patient Care Techs/Nursing students after they have completed 1 nursing clinical (usually Med-surg 1 or fundamentals), however, it is not unheard of people being hired as techs/na's without nursing school experience. I have a friend that was just hired as a nursing assistant at RO Beaumont without any prior experience. Also, Oakwood in Dearborn has a nursing assistant position specifically for those without experience and geared for those looking to apply for nursing school. I feel that entering into a CNA school/cert. program is a waste of time and money.
