Job Opinion!!

Hey ya'll~

I'm a nursing student in my last year. I was wanting to get some opinions on what is the best area to start out as being a new nurse and all. My interests are in L&D, PP, and ICU. I'm not sure if I want to start out there or not though. Any opinions??

Specializes in LTC, MDS/careplans, Unit Manager.

It seems to me that as an LPN it is really hard to get into acute care after working for several years in LTC. I would suggest following your dreams right out of school rather be labeled as a "LTC nurse, med/surg nurse, or whatever" Anyway...some specialties are easier to transition to...just do what makes you happy!!!!
