I recently accepted a verbal offer over the phone for a nursing job. I have 1 yr rn and 2.6 yrs lpn. after receiving a second offer from an area hospital that was a lot higher I decided to ask hr to break down the verbal offer. it seems that they have miss calculated my experience and instead of 13 months of lpn at half time they only gave me 3 months of lpn at half time. I brought this to their attention but have not heard back. Do you think they will fix their mistake and increase the pay accordingly, or do you think they will stick to their verbal agreement with me? It seems only fair that they fix their mistake and should have gone over the offer with me in detail and have me sign something beforehand. I start orientation in a few days and am just wondering.

They should fix their error. What they actually do only you will know once it happens. Follow up with HR prior to your start date.
