Hi All,
I am a graduate nurse, who is working in a psychiatric rehabilitation center in India. I have 4.5 years experience as a staff nurse. Now, I would like to move to Austria to work as a nurse.
But I don't know what to do that. i heard that I must obtain a work permit / employer sponsorship from Austria, but I don't have one. Is this mandatory? Can I go to Austria in search of an employer? Or how can I get an employer in order to obtain a work visa? I hope somebody will provide me necessary information.
I handle good English, but no German. I want to know the way to get an employer.

Without an EU passport you will be hard pressed to secure a work visa/work rights to work in Austria. All countries part of the EU are mandated to first consider citizens then EU citizens before even considering non-EU citizens.
You will encounter significant barriers if you are not fluent in German/medical German as German is the official language of Austria.
Why Austria? How do you propose to apply and work if you don't speak, read, write or comprehend any German?
Here is the website for nursing in Austria. I don't speak enough German to translate
