Hello!
I'm coming up on 1 full year of acute care experience and I'm anxious to get back to the Bay Area. I went to school there (got my BSN) and lived there for a while after graduating when I was looking for a job. Turns out, I had to move all the way to the East Coast for a job! I'm currently in a huge public hospital working on the cardiovascular stepdown unit and I feel like I've gotten a ton of really valuable experience (I practically ran the code last night when the resident clearly couldn't tell up from down, much less the correct ACLS procedures).
I'm curious about what you all think of the job market for someone with my experience...
Thanks for any feedback!

Sorry to say it probably is little better than that for a new grad. Two years would probably be better. But in the Bay area, people with years and years of experience can't find work. Best you can do is to start looking and don't make the move until you have a job in hand.
