I am fortunate to be able to say that I almost have 3 years clean. In March the board gave me permission to get a job with some restrictions. The major ones are no supervisory positions or narcotic admin for 6 mos. i took my time to begin my search and started about 6 weeks ago. I have worked doing homemaking and personal care for 2 clients with special needs. I have great work history with this company, and have actually enjoyed the hands on care that i have been able to give. At the same time, I love Nursing and feel ready to get back to it. Any ideas out there?

I'm not really sure what your question is, but my advice would be that if you're ready to go back to nursing, then start applying for positions. When you start interviewing you have to tell your potential employer that you're involved in your state's recovery program. Good luck in your search!
I am sorry that I wasnt clear. I havent been getting any bites on applications that i have made during these past 6 weeks. I have been a RN since 1985. I havent worked in Nursing for 4 years. I have been taking care of the special needs clients for 2 years as a PCA. When I was working as a nurse before, it was easy to find work. I feel worried that people wont want to hire me now.
