Job closer to home

Hello everyone! I'm a new grad and have been at my first nursing job for a little over a month. They were the first to call back after an interview so I decided to accept their job offer. Its about an hour drive from my house to the hospital and it gets pretty tiring having to make the drive. I decided to look for jobs locally and found 2 but I'm not for sure if I should apply for them. If I was to get one of these jobs, it would knock about 25 to 30 minutes off of my drive and not to mention money saved on gas. Should I put in for them? I've been told that I need to stay at my current job for 6 months to a year before trying to get another job but I really would like to be closer to home and my daughter's daycare. Thoughts please!!!
