I just applied for a job online that I would really like, but am kind of kicking myself in the butt now. Instead of applying online, I wish I would have waited (I am very impatient) and gone in personally. Is there any way that I could now set myself apart from the others that applied as well? Could I call and ask when they plan on setting up interviews? My d/h says no. What could I do to let them know that I am very interested in the position? What exactly is the etiquette when it comes to applying for jobs?
Thanks!

Thanks everyone for the great responses! The place I applied is a bit smaller, so that's why I was kind of kicking myself for not going in personally.
I will be patient, though, and wait until next week before contacting them or stopping in.
Good idea from LoveMyBugs - I maybe will stop in with another resume etc.
Thanks again! I feel much better after hearing the responses.
