I have applied for the fall night/weekend program and am currently waiting for a response. I have a friend who did the night/weekend program and graduated 2 years ago. She was very stressed and worked very hard through the whole program. It was not easy but she kept a very high GPA and she worked full time while attending classes. I am not sure if she had the A&P classes and Micro done prior to entering the program. I have all of my classes completed except the psych class human growth and develoment. I was told it was easier on you if you had those classes out of the way. But there were 6 or 8 third semester nursing students in my micro class so not everyone takes those classes ahead of time. I'm glad I did....the less I have to study the better I will do.
Wow, 90? Well that's good news. One of the non-nursing advisors told me when I signed up for my summer class that they only accepted 35 to the part-time program.
Yea, I may go sit with an advisor. I just saw on the website that they have nursing sessions for everyone interested in nursing to go to, so I will go to that if they are offered.

I would really like to read some feedback from anyone who has entered this program or has friends that have. I just finished my degree in accounting only to finally realize that being a nurse is what I truly want to do. I am still working full time in an accounting department and will/want to apply to the Jeff State St. Vincent's nursing program (PT - RN night and weekend Tract). I am interested to know how others have felt about the program and what's typically expected. I am currently getting all of my pre-reqs out of the way so that I will only have nursing theory classses and clinicals. I plan to still work full-time and go to school. Any advice? Any feedback? All is welcome is very much appreciated !
Thanks ! :)
