I heard last semester they lost their accreditation?
I hope not. I will check into it but I am pretty sure their RN program was under conditional certification. I am thinking their LPN program is under full approval from the Missouri state board of nursing. I'll check to make sure though. Thanks:)

One of the problems with JC is that they are not accredited by one of the National Nursing Accrediting Agencies (CCNE, ACEN). So, if you plan on working for the VA post graduation, it won't happen. Also, I seem to be finding this requirement a little more frequently in some other places. Good luck.

I graduated from the day LPN program back in 2011. I haven't encountered anything at my work I couldn't take care of after graduating. I was the only nurse in a 60 bed LTC facility, and held my own on night shift as a new nurse. I do know they never lost their accreditation from the BON. It was on a pending status for a few years, but is now back to full. The biggest advice is to stay on top of deadlines with them, and I have found it best to verify ANY information from student services with more than one advisor. trust me. I didn't, and was told to take classes I never needed and was told the improper way to drop a class. This cost me my GPA...
