Hi everyone! I'm starting this thread for those of us that are applying for the summer nursing program for Jeff state! It would be interesting to know what everyone is applying with and stuff! Good luck everyone!
Some have ask what the cut off was for the summer term. I was told by administration that it was 165.5. It was also explained that they did not take as many into the program this summer as they have in the past due to the stringent schedule.
In regards to what is due (if you will) prior to orientation, the back ground check is the only thing required prior to your orientation date. You do have the option to proceed with fulfilling the other requirements but they are not due prior to orientation. There is a specific form provided at orientation by JS to be signed by the physician that administers or has administered your required immunizations. FYI: Many physician offices are out of the flu shot because it is considered late in regards to flu season. Try your local pharmacy. There is a staff member with JS that is qualified to instruct health professional CPR classes, there is a schedule set for specific days. If you are interested you will need to contact JS for further information.
Congrats to everyone who was accepted.

My psychiatrist just sent me this email:
"Congratulations on being accepted to nursing school. What this policy means is having a valid prescription for a particular medicine is not an excuse to *abuse* it; in other words you can't come to work high or intoxicated on the medicine you were prescribed. That's all."
