Jeff State Spring 2014 Hopefuls

Hi everyone!! I currently attend Jeff State Shelby Campus. I am applying for the Spring this fall. I am so excited! I have taken the teas once but did not get the store I wanted so I am currently preparing to take it at least twice before the summer is out! So pumped...anyone else?

I'm sure she got as close to 24 as she could. If she said your fine then I would not worry about it at all. What total # did you apply with again? I know you probably said already but I can't remember....

Yeah you should be just fine... The number they look for first is your points. I thought the gpa was only factored in to see if you were eligible to be in the program. Even if you are at 2.6 then you are fine...

Ok,.so I have some clarification.... They said they take up to your last 24 credit hours. If a class will make you go over that 24 mark then they won't count it....they will take which ever classes that get you as close to the 24 mark.... So just in case anyone else was wanting to know

That explains why she only took my last 23... I was curious about that. Does that help you with the 3.0 or does it hurt you?

The advisor at Shelby told me last years cutoff for the spring was 170, it just all depends on the # of applicants. She said normally its about 200, which was suprising to me. But she said its much less competitive than the fall. So she recommended that i apply with my 180 points so I did. I started not to because i was discouraged after getting my Teas results, but thank God for As in my prereqs. I'm not nervous at all, I guess I kinda know if I don't get in for the spring I'll retake my Teas and study properly and will probably get in for the summer at jeff state or lawson and if not then I'll apply for the fall. Basically I'm saying I'm getting in somewhere! Good Luck to all of us :-)

I was told to apply no matter what my score was because you just never know... Good luck to all of us! Hopefully we will all get in together. I really expect this thread to take off once Monday gets here!! I'm sooooooo impatient!! Haha

Hi, glad I'm not the only one applying with a 180. I seen last year on the fall hopefuls page. That someone got in with a 182. =) Good luck to everyone

Yes! Lets hope that cutoff is 170 with 200 applicants like last year. Fingers crossed. She said we won't find out until the beginning of November. I'm hoping that was an exaggeration of the time. Thats so long, I'm just gonna stay calm 0_o

Which campus told you that? I was told at Jefferson that it would not be that long since orientation will be in November and we would still have things to do to get ready for that.
