Jacksonville New Graduate

Published

Hello!

I am about to graduate from the University of Florida with my BSN. I am looking to move back to Jacksonville to work... Pretty much every hospital in Jacksonville has a new grad program. Has anyone (Baptist, Wolfsons, Shands, Memorial, St. Vincents, Mayo) done the new grad programs? How hard is it to get in? Is Jacksonville hard to get a job in as a new grad? I am assuming you can't work at these hospitals unless you do the programs!

I just got accepted into Baptist Adult Hospital residency. I will let you know how it goes! I was a bit hesitant about it due to low pay. The offered pay is the same as my rate at the SNF I worked at. But Baptist offers night differentials and I figured acute care is what I have been working towards, so I accepted it.

If you don't mind me asking but how much do new grad nurses make? I work at Mayo Clinic and they say its better paying than some other hospitals

for a new grad the base pay is $24 but if you have CNA experience they add more depending on how many years of experience. Another dollar for BSN.

How much does Mayo Clinic pay? Please let me know lol. I heard Mayo pays the best. St. Vincent also pays well. Their SNF in Riverside offered over $25

I haven't asked the new grad nurses but Im a pCT and I make $15 an hr I would assume they make 28-32?

Hi! I recently applied to the Baptist Adult & Wolfson Children's New Grad Residency. I was moved to the next step and am preparing for an interview, do you have any tips? Or any interview questions that stood out to you? I would love to know any information about the residency!

Thank you?

I just graduated from an ADN program last month (May 2020) and have applied to numerous RN jobs in Jacksonville with no luck. Does anyone know if there is currently a hiring freeze or something due to the COVID situation? I have applied to all the NGR programs along with other hospital positions. Any advice would help! Thank you.
