Hey everyone! I'm in the process of looking at different programs throughout the state of Michigan and am wondering about Jackson Community College (now called Jackson College). I like that they're a point system school as opposed to a wait list school, but I read a random comment (not here) about health programs students being placed in clinicals and externships pretty far away. Does anyone here have any experience at JCC? If you have graduated from or are currently in the nursing program, is this true? While I'm very passionate about pursuing my dream, I just don't think it's feasible to drive hours each way to get to a clinical. I have a feeling that the person who commented this was NOT a nursing student, but maybe MA or DMS, so maybe they had less options? I'm not sure. I'd just like to know before I make a final decision. Thanks!!

Call the school and ask where they place students for clinicals. Best source of info is always the horse's mouth and all.
