Hey just wondering if anyone plans to apply to Reynolds LPN to RN program for the Spring 2016 semester. I took the Kaplan entrance exam and scored:
Math- 89%
Reading- 86%
Writing- 86%
Science- 55%
I hope that I get in considering I barely met the science requirement. I attended the nursing info session on 8/12 and there was a large group of students (about 50) but not sure how many of those students plan on applying in September.
Post your Kaplan scores.

Hi LpnSade,
I plan on applying to the spring semester as well but I still need to take my kaplan test. Any advice as far as what you used to study? Any info would be greatly appreciated!
Ssc2995 I purchased the Kaplan book from the bookstore.... WASTE OF MONEY! The information presented in that book is totally irrelevant to the questions asked on the test. The science portion of the Kaplan is the most difficult. There were a few pulmonary questions, cardiovascular questions, GI questions, and some neuro questions. The math portion is fairly easy if you're good with fractions. There were 28 questions in that section and about 22 of those were fractions. Reading and writing is easy just takes forever to the passage lol.
Lol... great. Thank you for the heads up... are you planning to go full time or weekend program? Do you know anyone already in the program?
Ssc2995, I plan is to go full time but they have to have enough qualified applicants to even offer a full time program, so my fingers are crossed. I dont know of anyone who was already accepted. Mrs. Edwards said that the acceptance letters would be out in November.
Interesting. So are we able to apply to both the lpn to rn and the regular adn program? I plan to take my test on the 8 (I know I'm pushing it close to the deadline, but this was a last min decision since they finally accepted my nas 161,162 for biology anatomy&physiology).. I will update u on my score, if it's worth posting lol
Great. I actually took the test two days in a row. I scored a 40 on the science portion on my first attempt (which was horrible) so I went again the next day after studying the questions. FYI the questions on the test dont change from one attempt to the next. Its the same exact test. Good luck to you!
Tomorrow is the big day for me! I'm extremely nervous. Ive been practicing what I think I would see on the test.. do you recall if there was a calculator available on the test for the math portion?
Yes there is a calculator available on the computer. Just read each question entirely and pick the best answer. You will do fine. I turned in my application packet this past Friday. My fingers will be crossed until November (lol).
Congrats on getting your application in! I'm sure you have nothing to worry about. It just seems like November is sooooo far away to get an answer. Have you completed all of your prerequisites?
I am currently enrolled in BIO 142 and Sociology. That would leave me with a humanities class to complete during the program. How about you?
Yea thankfully, I completed all of mine several years ago... what class are you thinking about for your humanities class?
I think I took art 101
How long have you been a LPN?
