I've been accepted...now what?

Published

Good morning! I was accepted into the class of 2013 at the school that is my first choice! I've paid the fees, waiting to find out what I need to do before class starts!

In the meantime, does anyone have any suggestions on books I should read, what I should review this summer? My last class ends in May and classes start again after Labor Day...a big chunk of time!

Welcome any suggestions.

you could try and get a CNA certificate. Usually the class is only 8 weeks and then you're done and apply! It will really help with fundamentals! And you can get your foot in the door at a hospital or a long term care.

I'm sure, but I simply cannot afford fibancially to work as CNA, it would basically cut my salary in half...

For pharmacology you're going to want a copy of "Pharmacology Made Insanely Easy, it's only $30 online but it is WORTH IT! My nursing class was required to go to the VSNA conference this year and there was a workshop on pharmacology...things that i had been studying for weeks were explained in seconds. It is so worth it! We all bought a copy and it was our saving grace on our first exam.

You probably won't have pharm till you're 2nd semester but just remember to get that book and keep it close lol. Good luck with nursing school and congratulations!!!!
