Hi everyone, I am new to allnurses.com. SO I hope I am using this appropriatly. I was hoping someone on here could help answer a question for me. I am 4 weeks away from graduating from and LVN program in California, and I will be moving to Las Vegas, NV shortly after taking my boards. I have the option to take an IV cert class here with all of my class mates, but have been informed that it may not transfer to NV. I have tried to navigate the board of nursing website and was unable to find the answer to this question...(Maybe I overlooked it?) Also I have tried to call and ask, and I haven't been able to speak with anyone. Does anyone know about this?Thank you for your time!
Absolutely take the certification for IV's. It probably won't transfer as this is state based/school based course and not like the National certification av ailable to RN's. BUt....ANY TIME you can have a marketable skill that gives you a better edge against the compitition TAKE IT!!!!! It shows you are smart and take iniciative!!!
Good Luck!!!!
