It has passed 6 months from graduating, can I still find a job in Denver, CO?

Published

I have my RN, BSN and have just recently moved to Denver, CO. I'm going to start applying to hospitals but all of the graduate programs say you have to have graduated within 6 months to qualify. All the other sites say that you must have a year of experience to apply. I feel very isolated.

I graduated May 2011, got my RN in Sept 2011 and just moved to Denver to find my first job (it's now January- that means 7 months have passed!). Will I be able to get a job?

Also where can I find information on Job Fairs, and what if I can't get a hold of any nurse managers?

I would still apply. After all, the worst they can tell you is No. Also, it's not like you're applying two years' out of school. You're just past 6 months--if you are a strong enough candidate they may be willing to over look that.

I have been looking for New Grad jobs and ran across this hospital in CO that is accepting applications for new grad RN's. http://pvhs.org/body.cfm?id=685
