ISU and Ivy Tech?

It says on ISU website you can complete the phase 1 pre-reqs through IVY tech. Do they actually provide the classes online? I can't find the information on the Ivy Tech website. I only need 4 classes to move to phase 2 and I have half the gen ed to phase 3 done. Trying to complete the last 4 classes spring semester so I can do the nursing tests. Anyone have any info. Thanks

I believe Ivy Tech is online because there was a discussion. You pay the cost of the class and there is no refund of fees if you drop out before the class begins. If you need info about Ivy Tech, call the ISU nursing dept and they can give you the info about the program..

You can take prerecs on line but the core nursing programs are attended on campus and clinicals. You should be aware to get into the Nursing program there are 4 classes to focus on and the TEAS test. I start courses on Wednesday to complete the ASN.

Ivy Tech is a valid community college. If you are having problems locating them, call ISU nursing dept. They have the number.

You did not mention whether your were going to do the brick/mortor or distant learning at ISU. This is important as there are three LPN to BSN programs.

1. If you opt for the regular classes, you will do the classes through ISU. 2. If you are doing distant learning, your didactic portion is done online and you do your clinicals in a facility you personally arrange. 3. If you are in Calif, your clinicals are arranged for you in a facility not far from your home, and the didactic portion is taken on line with all the other DL classmates located across the US.

Once you are in the nursing program, you will still need to complete your bachelor's degree gen ed classes. If at all possible, try to take them before you start the core nursing classes. I wish you the best in acquiring your BSN through ISU.
