Is my TEAS score good enough?

Published

I took the TEAS yesterday (first time). I got a total score of 75.3%. I have all As and 1 B on the other courses that are considered for Ivy Tech. I'm just wondering if my score is good enough or should I keep studying and take it a 2nd time and try for a higher score?

I would speak with the admissions office to get an idea of what TEAS score(s) they consider to be competitive. Some programs consider only specific section scores, e.g., science and math. Others use specific scores and the overall score. Still others use just the overall score. So it really depends.

Also, your score sheet should provide mean (average) scores for the specific program you've expressed interest in. That may shed some light on their requirements. But still call.

I go to Ivy Tech and met with my nursing advisor on Friday. She told me a 75% is what I need to shoot for on the Teas. But I have all A's in the 4 courses they look at. It depends on what your B was in and how many points it is worth. When are you applying and to what region?

Calculate your points. The nursing brochure/ power point tells you how to. I am just curious as to what the number of average points accepted into the asn program is.
