Is it possible?

Is it really possible for a 22 year old to live comfortably in a nice apartment in an area of orange county or LA? I really want to move to california next year once I've graduated from school but it justt seems like its going to be so hard. I don't know anyone so I won't have a roommate right away. Should I try and search roommates.com or something? I mean I know you have to be kind of picky with what kind of roommate you choose. How will I Find one if I don't know anyone? I'm hoping I don't get really lonely and homesick moving there and starting a new life. I'm sure it would get kind of lonely in a 1 bedroom apartment by yourself too. Are people in LA and Orange County friendly? I usually don't have a problem making friends but who knows. Should I try and make friends on myspace before I move there or what? I just don't want to be dirt poor living in CA with no friends and nothing to do.:uhoh21: How do I know what areas are good to live in and what areas are bad? I really don't want to live in a neighborhood where I'm going to get shot lol

You will have a difficult time finding a furnished apartment with utilities included in southern California. Perhaps I should never say 'never', but I personally have never known any landlords or apartment managers to rent out furnished apartments in California (and I lived there 22 years). All of the apartments come unfurnished, and you pay your own utilities.

Heck, when my friend moved out to Los Angeles, his apartment didn't even have a refrigerator! He had to rent one himself.

Some of the bigger apartment complexes sometimes offer corporate apartments that are furnished with utilities. Oakwood comes to mind. I think its cheaper to pay the utilities and rent furniture if you have to.

I've found a lot of apartments on apartments.com that are furnished. They are really nice too
