Is possible to get in LPN program with 2.6 GPA?

Published

Hi guys, I'm currently in LaGuardia community college. I have a very bad GPA for the key courses. A&p: c+, eng: B-, mat 106: B- and psy: B and A&P 2: B-. I wanna apply for LPN program but I'm really afraid that I wouldn't get in. I feel so lost, I don't know what to do? 😭

You might not be admitted to a community college LPN program that has competitive admissions, especially if the other applicants have GPAs of 3.5 or higher. However, what is the worst thing that could happen if you apply? Go ahead and apply.

I attended a private nonprofit LPN/LVN program that required no prerequisites. Applicants who attained a passing score on the entrance exam, wrote a satisfactory admission essay, and interviewed with the program director were admitted.

Hello, thank you so much. You are right, I should apply and hope for the best. If I can't get in then I'll just transfer somewhere else. ☺️

My LVN program did not require prerequisites either. As long as you get a 55+ on the TEAS you are given an application.
