4 years ago I left being a NP to have babies and focus on my children. I felt that working all day and staying late for admitting patient (always the last one of the day) and not being with my own children was too much at the time. I went back to other fun things that I love but really miss primary care and the kids are now older and involved/in school). One thing I don't miss from primary care is the neverending flow of patients (especially those Winter infections!). Has anyone else suffered NP burn out? What did you do to get out of the rut or burn out?
