Hello!
Just got my Littmann Master Cardiology Stethoscope and I have a question to an owner of the same modell.
Does the membran has a small hole in it? Right in the middle of it theres a small, looking like a "manufactured hole". And does this affect the cleaning of the Stethoscope?

Yea this is normal for a littmann scope. Are they are all like that or is it just the cardiology series?

no it is thought the hole makes the tones more discerning, very similar to the mechanical things done to the capac and other earlier than 1920 versions of an amplified stethoscope, they called them "phonoscopes" sometimes even a small piece of brass screen wire material was in the chest piece that was thought to increase the tone of vibrations similer to a speaker .... it is just an academic twist.......
