Is Loma Linda better than CSU San Bernardino?

Published

Anyone know about loma linda's nursing program? I have been told that loma linda clinicals are really strong and more hands on than cal state san bernardino - and this better prepares you. Thanks for any info!

If money is not an issue, Loma Linda is the better choice. Their professors are really willing to help you. Both Loma Linda and CSUSB have mediocre NCLEX pass rates, and from what I've heard, both have subpar clinical instruction. However, Loma Linda will give you an excellent theory education and connections that can last a lifetime.

BUT..for me it ultimately comes down to the money. Unless you have 60k lying around, I would choose CSUSB (if you get in of course). It's a little harder to get accepted, but It's A LOT cheaper, and I'm a firm believer that what you get out of your education depends on how much effort you put into it! Hope this helps!

Thank you Progressive Thinking! It's been hard to get an "objective" answer because the people I've talked to are from either one or the other campus... Thanks for the input :)

No problem. An even cheaper route is community college. That's what I'm doing! ADN, then hopefully BSN. It is good to get your BSN right out of the way though if you can, Good luck!
