Is $43 an hour in North California as a new grad a fair pay?

Job is for new graduate With a RN BSN degree. Evening shift full time

About 30 minutes south from San Jose

Specializes in Rehab/Nurse Manager.

I'm from the Midwest and $43/hr sounds like great pay.  Nurses at my facility don't make nearly that much even after years of experience.  Even at the local hospital, a nurse has to be working there for many years before they make upward of $40/hour.  So, from my perspective, the pay sounds excellent especially for a new grad.

With that said, obviously fairness of pay is relative to location and cost of living expenses associated with that location.   And a Google search on my end showed conflicting information that suggests that this pay may be average or slightly on the lower side.

Hopefully, someone with the area can provide more insight, but congratulations on your new job and on becoming a nurse!
