I work in a nursing home. I love the patients and the people I work with, but they are cutting my hours because there are so many nurses.
Anyway, I applied to every hospital in Nashville and only one called me back. It was for the 7p-7a shift on the renal floor. Seems like I see a lot of ads for nurses on the "renal" floor, it's one of those places that is always hiring.
I've never worked in a hospital and I'm getting old, my husband says I need to get some kind of hospital experience and I agree.
Could you tell me whaht it's like on a renal floor? I love big hospitals, it seems like there are so many different kinds of people and exciting things going on, but I'm not exactly a whipper snapper. I hate being there feeling like an old lady.
Also, I'm supposed to start a FNP program soon. Would you consider this valuable experience for a FNP?
