Hey y'all. :) I am about to graduate with my ADN in June. I have an interview with a local hospital to begin residency in July. I was recently accepted into an RN-BSN bridge program at a local state university. I intend on doing the BSN over four academic semesters. Does anybody have experience with doing both residency and BSN courses at the same time? Is this at all doable? Any tips? I just don't want to dig myself into a hole. Thank you for your insights.

Congratulations on the new job and school! Is there any way you could work for one year and then start your BSN? That way, you'd have time to settle into your new job without the she's of starting a new academic program, too. Schools often let you defer your acceptance for a year.
I could contact my academic advisor and see what the logistics would be. I'm afraid that if I push things back, I may lose the personal motivation. You know what I mean?

You might lose a little motivation, but you would likely gain tuition reimbursement monies as there is usually a lag in when they are available to new hires. You will also gain experience which will give you insight for much of the coursework.
Just something to consider.
