Is experience better than education?

I finished my prerequisites and am on a waiting list for at least 11/2 to 2 years for a ADN program. My question is what should I do with my spare time waiting for the program. I was thinking about going back to school and working on more prerequisites with hope to maybe get into a BSN program maybe even before the ADN program starts or also considering I have been an EMT for six years upgrading and getting my paramedic license which can be a year program?? Any help and advice would much appreciated especially in this job Market.

Getting your paramedic could be useful, especially if you want to work in emergency nursing once you graduate.
