iS CARRINGTON COLLEGE NATIONALLY ACCREDITED???

Published

Is carrington college nationally accredited, I know that they are accredited by ACCJC/WASC. Not sure if that means nationally, or just in Az. please someone explain! thanks in advance!! (:

WASC which is Regionally accredited is the most important. You can't use the credits to transfer to other schools for higher education. The other important one is the accreditation through CCNE which is the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.

1st thing is to see if they are approved by your states Board of Registered Nursing.

Never heard of ACCJC. Never seen a school with that one. I am in California so that might be a Arizona thing.

I know for sure The three up top are whats needed most of all.

We have Carrington as a nursing school here in California who are approved so you should be good. But they may only be a nursing program, not a degree program which is important to know. The degree is what you are looking for. Preferable the BSN because ADNs are kind of getting weened out. At lease here in California they are. Our ADNs who are working are required to get their BSNs now.
