has anyone taken microbiology from byu independent study?

I didnt register as yet. I was waiting to get a feedback from you.. lol! well i think i might as well go for it. I mean its not that bad right? i was planning to just take it with Excelsior but its been tough so i guess that will be my next option since its broken down into chapters and open book assignments. thanx for ur reply and please do send me a feedback on how its goes.

Hello,

I know it's been a while since everyone has taken Micro from BYU Independent Study...but I am enrolled now and working feverishly to get it done in the next few weeks. Its the last prereq before I start grad school in the fall. I am wondering how the exams are formatted and the difficulty level. Are they similar to the study questions in the book or more like the speed back assignments? The material itself isn't that hard, it's just that I only have about six weeks to get it all done.

Thanks for any advice or tips you can offer on studying!

Best,

Neva

I am getting ready to register for this class as well, but I need to know from the ones that took the tests, if the tests are do able??? Is there a review for the tests?? quiz, I guess I am just worried about not wasting my money if I won't have a chance to get a good grade. thanks to all of you and best wishesssss

Hello, I finished Micro from BYU just about a month ago. There are review lists or study guides at the end of each section (there are three exams and each one covers 8 chapters in the book) The questions don't come exactly from the study questions at the end of each chapter, but they do closely follow these study guides. The material isn't that difficult but much of it is just strait memorization so it's time consuming. It was the very last class I needed before starting midwifery school, so it worked great for me. But it's really just a correspondence course that has moved online so you've got to be self motivated (or have a deadline like me) to get it done.

I hope this helps! Best of luck to you :)
