I actually just completed the online summer course with an A at New Mexico Junior College. It was between Clovis and NMJC, Clovis filled up quickly so I ended up at NMJC. The course wasn't too bad, I took 11 hours this summer and I would say that Micro was one of the easier ones. The assignments/homework were every time consuming.
Every week you have assigned readings, labs and discussions that are due. You are allowed to work ahead especially on the discussions. She is a stickler for APA format and citing your work even the assigned textbook and lab manual.
Make sure at the beginning of every week you review the weekly assignments because some (at least 2) of the labs require a good bit of time.
The exams are not proctored, but you do have to use respondus lockdown browser which you will be instructed to download.
I hope this helps, if you have anymore questions let me know.
You'll do fine! Just follow her directions exactly and there is no reason you shouldn't pass with an A. She is also very quick to respond to emails. Also if you live in a different time zone pay attention to the due dates/times.
Thanks. Yeah, I live in Texas so I'll have to keep that in mind! I'm also taking A&P 1. I hope I get As in both.
Hi Lesia,I am planning on taking Micro and A&P II at NMJC this fall, could you let me know who was your professor, books and anything you can share.
Thanks
I don't think they like for members to post the name of professors. If you like you can private message me and I'll be happy to answer your questions. If you can't private message me just go the the NMJC website and under course schedule click on micro and it will tell you everything you need to know regarding the textbook and lab manual.
The professors initials are J.F. Hope this helps.
She is a stickler on what she wants but as long as you follow her instructions you will do well.

I'm enrolled in the class this semester I was just wondering if anyone else in this community was there at Clovis Community College. This is one of the only schools I know of that has an online microbiology program so I'm just wondering if anyone else is in it
