hello, I'm attending in the spring for the ADn program. I've spoken to 5 people about their experiences, and like others have stated it is HARD but doable. I've been told to assume you know nothing and let each instructor teach you:bowingpur. Bite your lip/tongue, gag :down:yourself whatever just do what they ask and study. did you get in? I live in Fayetteville and will commute for the next 2 years. so if you are off the beaten path and need a travel buddy...I'm driving.
hey defboy, ya I got in, but Im taking the LPN course. Then doing the ADN bridge program right after. What did those people say about our school? Did they say any negatives?positives? Why are you commuting from fayettville? Thats pretty far...dont they have the ADN program at the university in FAy town?:heartbeat
congrats. i will commute b/c I have a good job up here that is flexible. My wife likes NWA more than the river valley. The program here is at nwaac and i would have applied there for the fall as well as UA-fayetteville, but i got in on my first shot at uafs-so i thought why wait and possibly not get accepted!
it will take 52 minutes from my house to the front door-not bad i drive a lot anyways.
as far as the program i have been told that the instructors are great as far as preparing you for the nclex and i will assume the lpn is the same. one said,"they want to teach or reteach you and you had better accept the fact or you'll be gone." she explained that an lpn was in the bsn program with her but kept arguing with the team leader about procedures and she eventual left the program, so be teachable. good luck with the program. i worked as a nurse tech for a while and lpn do wonderful work.
