Is anyone else this way?

I'm doing really well in my A&P I class...until we get to chapter 3 and 4 (the cells and tissues).

When studying for the test, I discovered I had trypophobia, as silly as it sounds. It's the fear of small circles or holes clumped together, so these chapters are my my worst nightmare. Looking at the tissues, all those cells clumped together just gives me the creeps, and I haven't been studying because of it.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Lol no. Im sorry. Jusr look at at it redrew them out as squares or something. Good luck!

You could cover up the pictures with Post-Its, but I'm afraid you will need the pictures to understand the structure of the cells and tissues. Also, you will continue to see tiny holes throughout the entire book not just in those chapters. Our bodies are full of holes and small passages. I hope you find a way to overcome this fear.

I think science in general always comes back to tiny holes tbh... Microbiology is pictures of cells clumped together as well. I don't really know what to tell you have you tried googling exercises to overcome this fear?

Haha! Those pictures were also a nightmare for me. They just made me feel "yucky" for lack of a more appropriate adjective! Unfortunately, like me, you'll just have to suffer through it!
