Is anyone attending Eastern Suffolk BOCES LPN program for September 2014?

I recently took the TEAS entrance exam for ES BOCES, took my exam on Monday may 19th, come to find out I scored pretty high and received a call the next day from the school saying that they wanted to interview me that same week on Thursday. I went for the interview and was told I was recommended for the full time day program which is what I wanted:yes:. I was handed an application packet and was sent to the financial aid office after the interview. I mailed in the application with my HS transcript, 3 references and the money order. I mailed it in on May 31st and I haven't received a letter back yet so I'm anxious to hear from them. Wondering when you sent in your application and did you hear back from them yet? If so how long did it take to receive the letter after you sent in the application? The suspense is killing me LOL!!

@jyln32891 I just recently took the exam the beginning of June and they called me in for a interview July 3. Can you tell me what was the interview about and do you have to write a essay? It's nerve recking... I want this so bad I just hope I get in.

Hi there. No. There is no essay. They will however ask u I to answer/write something similar to "if you were in a difficult situation and didn't know the answer how would u handle it?" The interview questions are basic...y do u want to be a nurse, what qualities do u think a nurse should have, what do u think about cheating ect. Just don't stress it. It's a pretty laid back interview. I have orientation today and will be attending the full time program in sept. Good luck. Hope to see u there!!:)

Congrats on making it to the interview! I was totally nervous about my interview too but honestly there is nothing to worry about, they ask you basic ethical questions about yourself. Don't worry they don't interrogate you at the interview. Just be professional, and most importantly just be you. Make sure you dress and look neat and that's really it. There is no essay, but there is a small writing segment that is given to you when you arrive for your interview. It was very simple don't stress, your going to do fine!

Congrats! I also had orientation July 1st for the full time day program, quick question for you though.. at orientation I remember Mrs. Stevens saying that we have to buy a specific book/books from that ritten house website but we are aloud to purchase the other books from amazon.. I was up getting my picture taken when she was talking about it so I don't know which books she was talking about. Any idea?

The ATI is the one that u MUST buy new. No sharing allowed. All of the other books u can buy used if u like.
